Jordan is situated at the crossroads of Asia, Africa, and Europe. Officially known as The Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, it is an Arab kingdom in Western Asia, bordered along Syria on the north, Iraq on the north-east, Saudi Arabia to the east and south, Israel, Palestine and the Dead Sea to the west and the Red Sea to its extreme southwest. It’s impossible to talk about traveling to this country without mentioning Petra – its most famous and popular tourist attraction and one of the seven wonders of the world. Spending a few days exploring this beautiful pink stone ‘rose city’ is an experience you will always remember. One of the highlights of Jordan is the UNESCO World Heritage recognized desert of Wadi Rum – and after seeing the golden-red sunset here, you’ll never want to leave! Jordan is surprisingly diverse for the small country it is.
