Hanoi – Halong Bay (B/L/D)

8:00am – 08.30am. Be ready at the lobby, our bus will pick you up and drive from Hanoi to one of the most magnificent scenic environments in the world, Halong Bay. Covering 577 square miles, this vast bay is filled with more than 3,000 limestone “peaks” or karsts that jut from the deep blue water as far as the eye can see. We’ll spend a day and a half, including an overnight with dinner and breakfast on board, exploring this overwhelming sea scape from the decks of a traditional Vietnamese boat. Comfortable and intimate, your boat features hand-crafted wooden interiors including a dining room and pleasant air-conditioned cabins with private baths. Since we’re overnight on the water, we’ll be able to explore Ha Long Bay’s most beautiful spots with time to swim, kayak and even visit some of the largest rock formations and caves. Halong – Hanoi (Brunch)

Rising to the sound of lapping bay waters, we have time for an early morning dip followed by breakfast. Sitting on the upper deck, you can relax while taking in the breath-taking beauty of the rocky islands rising from the emerald water of the bay or join Taichi exercise on sundeck.
After breakfast, explore Sung Sot cave, swim, kayaking and relax. Cruises back to the jetty while brunch is served while you are cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations. Cruise check-out. Rejoin bus drive back to Hanoi. Free until our guide transfer to Hanoi train station for the night train to Sapa.

Lao Cai – Sapa – Cat Cat village (B, L)

Get the pick-up when the train arrives at Lao Cai Train station and then take a private car drive of 40 km to the hotel in Sapa.

As you arrive, our tour guide will meet you at the hotel lobby and you will get the tour itinerary reconfirmed by our guide. You will have breakfast in our restaurant. The guide will help you to put your bags in the hotel luggage store and then he will take you to explore Sapa town. After that we get back to the hotel for checking in the hotel room. Your lunch will be in the hotel restaurant then. Our guide will get back in the early afternoon (about 1 Pm) and take you to Cat Cat village. We depart out of the hotel and pass through the market to the sealed pathways to Cat Cat. This twisty beautiful vista road leads you to stairs where we descend to the centre of the village of Black H’mong tribe and keeping going down to the Cat Cat waterfall. There is an old hydro- power station that is still in use from Colonial French time and in warmer weather, a swim in the small river is possible. We walk along by the river and follow the sealed road back up to our hotel. Arrive at the hotel at apprx. 4 Pm.

Dinner is in the hotel restaurant again.

Sapa – Lao Chai – Ta Van Village - Lao Cai (B, L)

Get up in the morning for breakfast and check out the hotel room, your bags will be put in the hotel luggage store again.

We start the trip at 9 Am with the guide. We will walk about 15 kilometers, visit three different villages belonging to the Black H’Mong, Dzay and Red Dzao people. We guide you along waterfalls, rice fields and a small river in a lush valley with sweeping landscapes. This tour has the option of lunch in a minority home or pack lunch from the hotel at a picturesque location. We will get the pick up by van/ bus after visiting the last village.
Arriving at the hotel, short break for shower and dinner. Our private car will pick you up at the hotel for the night train back to Hanoi (time is at 4:30 Pm or 6:00 Pm, depending on your train time and your wishes). Arrive at Lao Cai train station and take the night train back to Hanoi. O/N on deluxe wooden train cabin 4-berth with AC.
